Village Lunches are held in Polstead Village Hall six times a year. Residents and their friends of all ages enjoy an excellent home-cooked meal in a friendly and informal environment. At only £4.00 per person it is remarkably good value.
At Easter, Christmas and Harvest the lunch is a two-course meal followed by coffee or tea. During school half-term holidays there is a choice of delicious home-made soups with crusty bread (or in the summer there are quiches and salad) followed by cakes, coffee, tea, and mints. The food is prepared and served by a team of excellent volunteer cooks and helpers and there is always a vegetarian option provided.
Reservations are made via ‘the list’ in the Community Shop two or three weeks prior to the event and payment is made on the day.
